ABOUT THE BAND

Beadhead came on the Portland music scene in 2003 combining Tropical Rock with a zydeco influences. This brand of music took off and the band evolved its sound as new members brought new talent and contributions to the band's sound. We introduced more 80s music from influences like Tom Petty, Michael Jackson, Hall & Oates to the repertoire. The band continues to evolve its sound and as we put 2020 in the rear view mirror we add  the interesting sounds that have defined "Yacht Rock"--music from the ikes of Pablo Cruise, Toto, the Doobie Bros., Michael McDonald and Loggins & Messina. Keeping with our nautical roots, Beadhead now provides the full spectrum of party music.

THE "ECLECTRIC TRIO"

Some occasions require a smaller Beadhead contingent. That's where the "Eclectric Trio" comes in. This trimmed down unit will play smaller venues and typically deliver a more Jimmy Buffet and zydeco offering. It's a fun time as members of the crowd get to come up and play the rubber board.
